XP and levels

XP is a nudge, not a score. It exists so you can see that yesterday added up to something — not so you can compare yourself to anyone else. Nothing decays and nothing is ever lost.

7 levels · up to 12,600 XP

Your accuracy

Answer a quiz question and your accuracy shows up here.

The ladder

The early levels come quickly, so a first session already feels like progress. Each band after that is about twice the size of the one before.

  1. Sprout

You opened the app. That is the whole trick — the rest is repetition.

0 XP · from the start · Where everyone starts.

  2. Explorer

Enough chapters for the shape of the field to start clicking.

200 XP · +200 from the last · One or two sessions.

  3. Builder

You can build something small end to end without copying a tutorial.

600 XP · +400 from the last · A couple of weeks of real study.

  4. Streaker

Consistency beat intensity. This is where a habit usually forms.

1,400 XP · +800 from the last · A couple of months, most days.

  5. Scholar

The course is behind you and the questions are getting genuinely hard.

3,000 XP · +1,600 from the last · The whole catalogue, worked through properly.

  6. Master

Deep enough that you could teach the parts you have covered.

6,200 XP · +3,200 from the last · Months of steady work beyond the syllabus.

  7. Sage

A year of showing up. There is nothing above this, by design.

12,600 XP · +6,400 from the last · A sustained year, or a fast and serious one.

How a question is paid

A question is worth full XP only if you know it. Each wrong pick you make costs some, and being left with a single option is worth nothing — that is elimination, not recall.

How you got thereXPWhat it means
First try+5You knew it. This is the only one that counts as learning.
After one wrong pick+3You narrowed it down. Reasonable, and worth less.
After two wrong picks+1A guess between two options.
Last option left+0One option left. Nothing was proved.

A question can only be paid once, so reloading the page or replaying a quiz earns nothing. The only way up is ground you have not covered.

Questions with fewer options

The table above assumes four options. With three, you reach the last option after two wrong picks instead of three, so that question pays 5 / 3 / 0 with no rung in between — the one-option-left stage simply arrives sooner. The underlying rule holds either way: full XP while you still have a choice.

Your accuracy, in detail

A single percentage would hide the useful part. Here is where your answers actually landed.

One question is enough

A day counts once you answer a single question, which takes about thirty seconds. That is short enough to keep on a busy day, and answering is the part worth repeating anyway — recalling something you read is what moves it into long-term memory, so the streak and the useful habit are the same habit.

Everything else that pays

The four standing awards. Each is granted once, so nothing here can be farmed.

ActionXPNotes
Finish a chapter+10Once per chapter, ever.
Answer a quiz question+5Full value on the first try, less after a wrong pick.
Answer a question on a new day+20One claim per calendar day, on top of the question's own XP.
Review a flashcard+2A small nudge to keep a session going.

What the top level means

A chapter answered perfectly is worth 35 XP. That puts 12,600 XP beyond a single pass of everything here — it is roughly what a few months of steady practice adds up to. Each band is about twice the size of the one before, so the early wins stay quick and the last stretch stays worth something.
